IN a successful endeavor organized by Mayor Rolando "Klarex" Uy's office, today proved to be a fortunate day for 431 workers and their families in Barangay Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City. 

City Mayor's Office Chief of Staff Shiela Lumbatan expressed this sentiment, emphasizing the significance of the assistance provided to the deserving individuals, particularly the displaced workers and and individuals earning low wages.

The event, called TUPAD pay-out, was made possible through the coordination efforts of Mayor Uy and  DUMPER PTDA Partylist Representative Claudine Bautista.

The TUPAD pay-out initiative aimed to provide aid to displaced workers, drivers, riders, and individuals earning below the minimum wage.

"The generous contribution of DUMPER PTDA Partylist Rep. Bautista made this assistance possible," ssid Lumbatan. 

She said the event took place earlier Thursday at the Carmen National High School Covered Court.

Each recipient was fortunate to receive a total of P4,050 to support their daily expenses, acvording to Lumbatan. 

She said that the amount provided will undoubtedly alleviate some of the financial burden faced by these hardworking individuals and their families. 

"The TUPAD Pay-out program seeks to empower the marginalized sectors of society, ensuring that no one is left behind," Lumbatan said.

The distribution of financial aid brought smiles and relief to the faces of the recipients, she added. 

Lumbatan stressed that many expressed their gratitude to the local government and the generous support extended to them during these challenging times. 

"The assistance received will enable them to meet their basic needs, such as food, shelter, and education expenses for their children," said Lumbatan.

Mayor Klarex Uy's office, along with the dedicated team led by Lumbatan, remains committed to serving the community and addressing the needs of its constituents. 

According to her, the TUPAD Pay-out initiative is just one of the many programs implemented by the local government to uplift the lives of its residents.

With the successful conclusion of the TUPAD Pay-out in Barangay Carmen, the local government continues to work tirelessly to identify and reach out to other sectors in need.
