CAGAYAN de Oro City's economic cluster will be coming out with a complete list of suggested retail prices on all agri-products and other commodities by next week, the cluster representative bared today.
Paul Douglas Calingin of the city's economic cluster said during the daily briefing at city hall that it has come to their attention that there are local retailers who have been jacking up prices.
We met with the Department of Agriculture this week and we will be coming out with the list by Tuesday, next week," said Calingin.
Calingin also reminded retailers in the city that the price freeze under the Price Act, which started on March 9, is still being enforced until May 9.
"Wala'y dapat mo-increase nga presyo. Dili unta sakyan ang pandemic arun maka profit," he said.
He said the economic cluster intends to strengthen the implementation of the price freeze.
He said prices of agri-products and other commodities at the city's public markets and supermarkets should be uniform.
Calingin also cited Misamis Oriental Retailers' Association for being transparent with their pricing.
"Pasalamat kita sa ila kay cooperative kaayo sila," he said. (Cong B. Corrales)
