BENCYRUS Ellorin, Kauban ta Uy convenor, on April 5 responded to Moreno’s recent claim that the current city administration failed to continue his projects.

Ellorin called the statement false.

“Bakak man nang giingon ni Oca nga wala gipadayon ni Klarex ang mga projects like Lumbia and Tablon hospitals. Gipadayon aron mahimong compliant sa DOH standards and mapuslan,” Ellorin said, referring to Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy.

He emphasized that when Moreno stepped down, these projects were still incomplete, contrary to Moreno’s claims.

Ellorin added that the situation is similar to the 126 unfinished projects worth P1.05 billion flagged by the Commission on Audit, which he said Uy has since continued.

“Gipadayon og trabaho ni Klarex, gibayaran, over and above the P2.9 billion nga utang or past due obligations gibiyaan niya, with only P103 million in the city's coffers,” he said.

He also corrected a previously published report that Uy had no projects, explaining that the city is still paying off debts left by Moreno’s administration.

“Dili man nga walay projects nahimo si Klarex, daghan man. It could have been more if not saddled by debt, unpaid obligations, and a better financial position of the city government,” Ellorin added.

He also advised Moreno not to compare his transition from Mayor Vicente Emano, who had left P1 billion in funds and P200 million for special education, to Uy’s transition, where only P103 million remained.
