Cagayan de Oro City Council committee on health and sanitation and health insurance, is pushing for the  establishment of a Smoking Cessation Clinic in the city. During the committee meeting last week, Dr. Rachel Dilla manifested that the Smoking Cessation Program was established by the government through the Department of Health (DOH). The Smoking Cessation is the process of discontinuing tobacco smoking. Tobacco contains nicotine, which is addictive, said Dilla. According to Dilla, e-vaping is used to treat addiction to nicotine. It has to be prescribed for smoking cessation. (sp)
