ON this World Press Freedom Day, Gold Star Daily stands in solidarity with journalists and media professionals across the globe who uphold the principles of truth, accountability, and public service.
As a regional community publication committed to independent journalism, we reaffirm our dedication to press freedom as a cornerstone of democracy.
In the face of misinformation, censorship, and threats to journalists’ safety, we continue to report with integrity, courage, and a deep sense of responsibility to the communities we serve.
We honor the journalists who have lost their lives in pursuit of the truth, and we call on governments, institutions, and citizens to protect the rights of a free and independent press.
Now more than ever, a free press is essential to informed societies, resilient democracies, and a just future.
