In a bid to strengthen ties between Misamis Oriental and Japan, Governor Peter “Sr. Pedro” M. Unabia recently visited the Embassy of Japan in the Philippines, engaging in fruitful discussions with diplomats and officials led by His Excellency Ambassador Koshikawa Kazuhiko.
The focus of the talks revolved around potential collaborations, particularly in creating job opportunities in Japan for various skill categories. Discussions delved into the specifics, including the number of Job Orders and corresponding skill requirements per job category.
A key aspect explored was the application and recruitment process through a Government-to-Government (G2G) Arrangement. This aligns with the bilateral partnership between the Philippines and Japan, allowing the former to facilitate the deployment of Filipino workers specifically from the province, to meet the needs of the latter.
Governor Unabia expressed confidence that these collaborations will not only enhance ties between the two regions but also create mutually beneficial opportunities for both Misamis Oriental and Japan. These partnerships are expected to open doors to new prospects, fostering shared growth and development.
