THE Second Higalaay National Motocross Competition concluded with thrilling races and impressive performances at Zone 7, Acacia St., Carmen last Sunday, August 17.
The event, a key part of the 58-event lineup for the Higalaay Festival 2025, drew crowds eager to witness top riders compete in various categories.
The competition, which highlighted the Friendliest Festival in the country, saw a range of competitors vying for top spots.
Winners were celebrated across several classes, including Expert Open 450CC, Expert 250CC, and more.
According to Jade Adeser, Head of City Information, the event was a resounding success.
“The energy and enthusiasm from both the riders and the audience were truly inspiring. We are thrilled to see the Higalaay Festival continue to grow and provide such exciting experiences for everyone,” Adeser said.
Adeser also provided a list of the winners, to include: Expert Open 450CC, Bornok Mangosong; Expert 250CC, Elced Maningo; Intermediate Open, John Anthony Cortez; Novice Open, John Anthony Cortez.
Other winners are, Veterans Class, Glenn Aguilar; Executive 45 Y/O Up, Pepeng Mar; Executive 50 Y/O Up, Jhonyl Ariel Oraiz; Novice Power, Vincent Baricuatro; 65CC 14 Y/O Below, Krinz Kyle Tapic; 50CC 12 Y/O Below, RJ Malayo; Underbone Modified XRM, Junpadon Sulinay; Ladies Category, Sharlet Gallarde.
This year’s competition was particularly special because of the quality of the riders and the support from the community, according to Adeser, adding, “We are already looking forward to next year's event and hope to see even more participation.”
