POLICE operatives in Iligan City arrested a construction worker and confiscated several high-powered firearms and ammunition during an early morning raid yesterday.
Iligan City Police Office (ICPO) Director Dominador Estrada, identified the suspect as Rachid Pansoy, married, and a resident of Purok Ilang-Ilang, Barangay Ditucalan of the said city.
He was arrested by intelligence operatives of Iligan City Police Station 2 led by Police Major Jose Marlon Agabon together with other police units in the area at 12 midnight.
Seized from the suspects were two caliber .45 pistols bearing serial numbers 013776, and 927819, three steel magazines of the same caliber, a homemade gas-operated rifle, 16 pieces of caliber 45 live ammunition, and three caliber 45 empty shells.
The suspect and seized items were brought to the said police station for proper documentation and disposition and filing of appropriated charges.
