CAGAYAN de Oro City Mayor Rolando 'Klarex' Uy has extended his support to the family of a trisikad driver who tragically took his own life last Sunday.
Mayor Uy's financial assistance was gratefully received by Gracelyn Ecatan, who is related to the victim, known by the nickname Adis, aged 35.
The untimely demise of Adis has left his family devastated, and Mayor Uy wasted no time in offering his help.
According to Ecatan, her relative had been experiencing feelings of depression since December 2023, especially after being left alone.
Understanding the importance of providing immediate support during such difficult times, the mayor's office swiftly arranged for financial aid to be given to the grieving family.
Ecatan expressed her gratitude for the assistance provided by Mayor Uy.
'The financial aid will undoubtedly help alleviate some of the burdens faced by the family in the aftermath of this tragic incident,' said Sheila Lumbatan, the mayor's office chief of staff.
