THE Mayor of Cagayan de Oro City, Rolando "Klarex" Uy, cheerfully invited all people from Cagayan de Oro, nearby areas, and even those far from Mindanao to join the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) On Tour at the 2023 Higalaay Festival in Cag de Oro.
"Mayor Uy is inviting everyone to be a part of this much-awaited event and to enjoy the exciting festival activities in person," said City Mayor’s Office chief of staff Shiela Lumbatan.
The event according to Lumbatan will be held at the famous Cagayan de Oro International Convention Center, which is a fantastic place for the exciting PVL On Tour.
"Don't miss the chance to watch great volleyball games in a truly amazing place," Lumbatan said.
The PVL on Tour will be in the city on August 19, 2023. Rachel Anne Daquis and Jovelyn Gonzaga and the Cignal HD Spikers will be competing against sisters Eya and EJ Laure and the Chery Tiggo Crossovers at the city's convention center.
Lumbatan said this big celebration of sports and culture will feature exciting volleyball games at the recently-opened convention center.
She added this is the first time the city is hosting the PVL On Tour.
Besides watching top-level volleyball players, visitors can also expect a big increase in tourism and economic growth, she said.
Lumbatan added that the convention center is an amazing place that has been a key part of hosting many events, and the city is proud of this outstanding facility.
To suit different tastes, ticket prices are as follows: P400 for Upper Box, P1000 for Patron, P1,500 for Lower Box, and P2,000 for VIP, which includes a special meet and greet session.
Plus, all ticket prices include transport to and from the Cagayan de Oro International Convention Center. The pick-up point is at the Rotonda Macasandig.

She added that it's a special sports event that helps boost the city's growing tourism and economic recovery.
