A 25-year-old laborer was killed after the motorcycle he was riding crashed into an oncoming vehicle while traversing along the national highway in Bukidnon, yesterday morning.
Police Col. Jun Mark Lagare, Bukidnon Provincial Police Director, identified the victim as Reymark Pramo, single, and a resident of Purok 3B, Poblacion, Valencia City of the said province.
The said incident occured at Purok 2, Patag, Barangay Bagontaas of the said city at about 12:05 am.
A police report revealed, that the tragic accident happened when the victim, who was seated at the rear portion of the motorcycle driven by Lucresio Viodor, also a laborer, 37, a resident of Purok 3, Poblacion of the same city crashed into a tailing vehicle.
It was learned that Viodor’s motorcycle crashed into a honda civic with plate number LAD-6723, driven by Mark Cristian Alcazaren, 28, married, a businessman, and residing at Purok 4, Bagontaas, of the said City, which was at that time following him at the back.
Due to the impact, the victim was thrown to the opposite lane and subsequently ran over by an incoming multi-cab, a Suzuki, bearing plate number KAK-7088, driven by Gonzales Dale, married, a nurse by profession, a holder of a non-professional driver’s license and a resident of Purok 6, Poblacion of the same city.
The said vehicle is registered under the name of Mary Ann Valenzuela of Bagontaas, Valencia City.
Both the victim and the motorcycle driver, who sustained injuries in the different parts of their bodies, were brought to Laviña Hospital for medical treatment.
Dr. Elizabel Buga-ay, the attending physician declared Pramo dead upon arrival.
In an initial investigation, police said, Viodor failed to present a driver’s license to the investigators.
Alcazaren and Dale are now under the custody of Valencia police for proper disposition.
