THE city’s new police chief yesterday said he was looking into the possibility of making Cagayan de Oro as the first illegal drug-free city in the country. “I look forward [to seeing] this city declared as a drug-free city,” said Senior Supt. Robert Roy Bahian. Bahian assumed as chief of the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (Cocpo) that was briefly run by police deputy regional director for operations Senior Supt. Gerardo Rosales. He said he was studying if there was a need to reshuffle Cocpo officials “[There’s] nothing permanent in this world. Kanunay man nang naay mga changes and renovations... We must accomplish our mission,” he said. Bahian is a civil  engineer and a Liceo  University de Cagayan University graduate. Before he was assigned here, he served as commander of the Regional Public Safety Company (RPSC) in Region 6. (nitz arancon)
