By Nitz Arancon SIX hours of blackout are expected in some villages in Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental, and Camiguin because of a project in Jasaan, Misamis Oriental. The National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) said the power supply interruption would affect the Cagayan Electric Power and Light Co. (Cepalco), the Misamis Oriental II Rural Electric Service Cooperative (Moresco II), and the entire franchise area of the  Camiguin Electric  Light Co. (Camelco). Elizabeth Ladaga, NGCP spokesperson for Northern  Mindanao, said the blackout is scheduled from 6 am to 12 noon today. Lagada said the scheduled power interruption is due to NGCP’s “reliability project” at the Aplaya, Jasaan substation. She said the 100-mva substation would be shut down. Ladaga said some areas would experience  blackouts only during switching procedures--meaning, “before and after the completion of works” in Jasaan. (nitz arancon)
