MAYOR Oscar Moreno has submitted his proposed budget of P4.8 billion for city hall next year, this paper learned from the city council’s finance committee.
Moreno submitted his budget to the council on Friday, complying with the date of submission set by the government.
The city council’s committee on finance would start tackling Moreno’s proposed budget on Monday.
Members of the city council majority said they would approve the proposal if the executive budget is supported with details and documents, and if the Moreno administration’s plans next year are found to be justified.
Since 2014, the city council has never approved Moreno administration’s proposed annual budgets.
