RESIDENTS of Barangay Kauswagan came together for the ‘One Kagay-an’ rally last Tuesday, April 15. The rally showcased unity and support and was led by Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy and 2nd District Rep. Rufus Rodriguez.
The event showcased the Heed Rise Agenda, a comprehensive platform for addressing the community’s pressing needs through health, education, employment, and sustainable development.
The atmosphere was electric as locals expressed their enthusiasm for the initiatives presented.
Mayor Uy emphasized that the Heed Rise Agenda is not merely a collection of policies but a heartfelt commitment to the people of Cagayan de Oro.
“What we bring to you today is a promise of genuine service, grounded in experience and passion,” he said, resonating with the crowd’s palpable energy.
The rally served as a testament to the strong trust the community has in its leaders, who have demonstrated unwavering dedication beyond mere rhetoric.
The Heed Rise platform encompasses several critical areas, beginning with health initiatives aimed at enhancing access to quality healthcare services.
“We envision a city where every citizen can receive the medical attention they deserve, ensuring that health is prioritized,” Uy said.

Employment opportunities are also a cornerstone of the Heed Rise Agenda.
To reduce unemployment rates, the platform proposes various skills training and job creation programs.
“We want to empower our youth and adults alike, providing them with the tools they need to secure stable jobs,” Uy added, highlighting the importance of economic resilience in the community.

Mayor Uy with the One Kagayan coalition reiterated their commitment to transparent governance and community engagement.
