THE Cagayan de Oro City government has bolstered airport security by donating a new patrol vehicle to AVSECU-10, the airport security team, to enhance their response capabilities.
Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy personally handed over the keys to team leader M/Sgt. Bentoso, marking a milestone for the unit, which had long requested a vehicle but received no assistance until now.
Bentoso expressed gratitude to the mayor, emphasizing that the new car would significantly improve response times to security incidents at the airport.
“Keeping our airport secure is a top priority,” Uy said during the turnover ceremony. “We want everyone to feel safe and confident when they travel through Cagayan de Oro.”
The mayor underscored that the donation reflects the city's commitment to public safety and its support for law enforcement agencies.
The new vehicle is expected to enhance security operations and ensure a safer environment for travelers and airport personnel.
