IN an exciting announcement from the city mayor's office chief of staff, Sheila Lumbatan, on Tuesday revealed that Cagayan de Oro City is set to embrace the vibrant spirit of creativity as it joins the nation in celebrating National Arts Month this February.
The theme "Ani ng Sining, Bayang Malikhain" has been chosen to encapsulate the bountiful harvest of our Filipino creative nation, emphasizing the collective imagination of our people.
Lumbatan said the city is gearing up to harness artistic excellence, integrate arts into diverse communities, and engage in critical discourse to celebrate its identity and progress.
"With a rich cultural heritage and a thriving artistic community, Cagayan de Oro City is poised to showcase its creative prowess and contribute to the nationwide celebration of arts and culture," said Lumbatan.
Local artists, performers, and cultural groups are gearing up to participate in a series of events and activities throughout the month, including art exhibitions, workshops, performances, and interactive installations, she said.
