The Filipino-Chinese community here in Cagayan de oro has recently made another donation to the frontliners of J.R. Borja General Hospital (JRBGH) amounting to P750,000 on Saturday, May 16 at City Hall and was received by City Mayor Oscar Moreno.

Lead by its Covid-19 committee chairman Efren Uy and members the group donated 200 packs of 5Kg rice (P50,000) , 1,400 KN-95 face masks (P185,500), 2,500 3-ply non-woven face mask (P75,000), and 500 sets of Wantai Bio-Pharm Covid-19 rapid test kits (P440,000).

It can be recalled that the group has extended its support to the frontliners fighting the Covid-19 pandemic that has affected not only this city but other parts of the country as well as the world.

The group has collectively donated over P4.8 million to the cause in separate occasions since March to different agencies and groups in the city from the Road and Traffic Administration (RTA), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Cagayan de Oro Police Office (COCPO), Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC), and JRBGH among others.

The Filipino-Chinese community of Cagayan de Oro is composed of 21 community organizations and groups namely the following:
