By NITZ ARANCON Correspondent THIS city’s Anti-Illegal Drug Task Force (CAIDTF) arrested a suspected drug trafficking couple in Sitio Pinikitan, Barangay Camaman-an, here on Wednesday evening. The task force’s head Chief Insp. Gilbert Rollen identified the couple as Jessie Sarau, 38, and his live-in partner Jecel Saquilayan, 30. Rollen added that the couple is No. 3 in their target list of drug suspects in the city. The couple were arrested during a buy-bust operation, Rollen told the Gold Star Daily. Police were able to confiscate P300-marked money, 20 grams of suspected shabu (with a street value of P60 thousand, several drug paraphernalia, and a caliber .45 caliber. Rollen said they were able to “neutralize” Saraus even as the latter tried to pull out his gun. Both Saraus and Saquilayan are currently detained at the city police’s Maharlika headquarters, pending the filing of illegal possession of firearm and drug trafficking charges against them.
