POLICE yesterday pressed charges against a dentist who was arrested during a drug buy-and-bust operation in upper Balulang, this city, on Tuesday.
Charged with violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act before the City Prosecutor’s Office was 54-year-old dentist Jovito Apostol of Xavier Heights, upper Balulang.
Col. Henry Dampal, city police chief, said Apostol was arrested by members of the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office’s drug enforcement unit in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) at around 11:50 pm on June 16.
Police alleged the officers caught Apostol with suspected shabu and P500 used in the entrapment.
Police said Apostol was also found with another sachet of suspected shabu when he was frisked. The sachet is estinated to have a street value of P1,000. (Joey Nacalaban)
