By NITZ ARANCON Correspondent POLICE yesterday said it has started looking into the extent of the participation of one of the classmates of the 9th grader who stabbed and killed his Science teacher in Canitoan on Tuesday. Chief Insp. Alvies Altiche, Bulua police chief, said this following revelations made by 15-year old “Jimmy” (not his real name) that he attacked his class adviser Vilma Cabactulan shortly after he played the hand game “Bato-bato-pick” (Rock-Paper-Scissors) with a classmate to determine who would make the hit. He also claimed that the knife he used belonged to his classmate. Altiche said he tasked PO1 Marianne Mae Tolentino to check whether or not Jimmy’s classmate could be held liable, too, for the killing of the 43-year old Cabactulan. He said police were also trying to establish who really owns the murder weapon. Tolentino earlier confirmed that Jimmy told her that he and a classmate played the hand game first “aron pag-ila nilang duha, kinsay motumba sa ilang maestra.” Jimmy himself gave this paper the same narrative in an interview.` But Altiche said, “Testimonya lang kana sa suspect, apan wala pa kitay tistigos nga nag-corroborate sa iyang statement, mao na nga dili pa nato ma-link sa kaso ang iyang classmate, unless duna motistigos, ug  mo-ingon nga nagbato-bato sila sa kinabuhi sa ilang teacher sa wala pa mahitabo ang maong krimin... Siya ra man ang nagsulti nga iya kuno tong hinolaman sa iyang classmate ang kutsilyo, pero ato pa kining  gipasusi ug  maayo.” Altiche said police were also investigating why a bladed weapon was sneaked into the PN Roa Senior High School. He noted that the school has a guard positioned at the main gate. Meanwhile, police release Jimmy to the custody of the City Social Welfare and Development Office on Wednesday afternoon. He was brought to the Tahanan ng Kabataan in Lumbia. Altiche also revealed that Cabactulan’s sister, Gemma Ricaplaza, went to see him and told him she wanted to pursue a case against the teenager. He said the teenager’s father was “cooperative,” and even agreed that his son be brought to court.
