CITY hall’s Regulatory Compliance Board has issued ordinance violation receipts since yesterday to at least five eateries for violating the “no dine-in policy” of the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases.

“Gahapon, sa akong estimation naa nay sa lima ka karenderia atong na isyuhan og OVRs,” Antonio Resma Jr., RCB inspectorate team leader said today during the daily press briefing at the city hall.

He said the RCB has been going around the city to monitor the compliance of various business establishment to the guidelines set by IATF-EID on the General Community Quarantine.

“Naa pa man gud ang policy sa wearing of face masks in public. Unsaon nimo pagkaon sa karenderia kun naka face mask ka? Busa gibawalan sa gyud nato ang ‘dine-in’ sa mga eateries and similar establishments,” Resma explained.

He added that penalties for violators range from fines to actual closure of the establishment.

“Mag issue usa ‘ta og evaluation form. Hatagan nato sila’g time to go over the list para ma comply nila. Kung dili pa gyud nila sundon ang guidelines, isyuhan na dayon nato og OVR,” said Resma.

Resma called on residents to help in looking out for violators since their team could not possibly penetrate the inner city areas or eateries in far-flung barangays.

“Atong gi-aghat atong mga katawhan nga kun adunay makita nila nga wala misunod sa guidelines, paki report sa atong office arun maadtoan nato,” he said. (Cong B. Corrales)
