COUNCILOR Reuben Daba has filed a resolution requesting employers of establishments affected by the community quarantine of Cagayan de Oro City to release early the 13th-month pay of their employees or pro-rated amount corresponding the months from January to April, this year.
During the regular session this week presided over by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin Uy, Daba said, the 2019 novel coronavirus disease pandemic has greatly affected many residents.
Malls and other establishments have been closed with the declaration of a health emergency in the country and under the executive orders issued by Mayor Oscar Moreno to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the city.
Daba said the early release of the 13th-month pay will be a great help to employees during this time. (SP)
