IN a remarkable display of community spirit and brotherhood, the Royal Knights Eagles Club marked its 2nd anniversary on November 11, 2023.
The celebration kicked off with a vibrant motorcade from the Rodelsa Rotunda, traversing the city to Camaman-an's House of Joy, an orphanage that provides shelter and care for underprivileged and neglected children.
The Club members turned Santa early this year, arriving with arms full of toys, colored books, clothes, shoes, and many more gifts, bringing early Christmas cheer to the children.
"The day of Royal Knights Eagles Club was not only about giving but also about sharing," said Royal Knights Charter president and the concurrent Northern Mindanao Region 12 (NMR 12) Bagwis Dos Governor Eagle Eric Daabay.
Club members prepared a festive meal, which they enjoyed with the children after a short program.
The highlight of the program was a delightful dance performance by the children, aged one to twelve years, who expressed their gratitude in the most endearing way possible.
The House of Joy, a social concern and non-profit charitable home run by the Foundation of Our Lady of Divine Love Inc., emphasizes providing basic needs and education to its residents.
Even though City Councilor Eagle Imee Moreno was not around, she commended the Royal Knights Eagles Club for their commitment to service and their strong sense of brotherhood.
"The people behind the Royal Knights always extend the services that our community needs," she said.
Eagle Johmark Oligario, a teacher by profession, echoed the Councilor's sentiments, encouraging his fellow club members to continue being the light for others.
"May the good Lord always guide our journey. Let us continue to be united as we collectively face life's challenges," he said.
Eagle Joemar Sinatao, a school principal in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental, also lauded the success of the anniversary celebration.
"With the able and good headship of our leaders, we have surpassed some insurmountable odds and proved ourselves victorious in our quest to develop genuine brotherhood and service to our fellowmen," Sinatao expressed.
In a heartfelt message, Eagle Herbert Serrano urged his fellow members to keep their passion to help others alive. "Let us always make every one of us an epitome of all the desirable traits worthy of emulation by others," he said.
The day continued with the club members proceeding to the Tree Haus in barangay Taguanao for the 2nd anniversary celebration and the 11th general membership meeting.
A mass was offered, followed by an awarding ceremony for outstanding members who have significantly contributed to the Club's growth and achievements.
The Royal Knights Eagles Club's 2nd anniversary was a testament to the spirit of service, unity, and brotherhood, said Daabay.
"It marked another milestone in the Club's journey, as they continue to bring positive change in their community," Daabay stressed.
The event concluded with Kuya Ryan Mañoza, Club President, and Daabay, signing off on the successful celebration.
