CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — Three student journalists from San Jose National High School (SJNHS) earned spots in the Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) after placing in the South Cotabato Division Schools Press Conference on Sept. 6-8.
Zyna Miel Buyco placed fourth in English Editorial Writing, earning a regional berth.
In the Filipino individual events, Khylle Zyrene Mansat placed third in Column Writing, while Renz Jay Eucare finished fifth in Photojournalism. Both also qualified for the regional competition.
The three competed against campus journalists from public and private schools across the South Cotabato division during the three-day event at Banga.
School paper advisers Charme B. Contigo and Maria Christina L. Delfinado coached the students throughout the competition.
The three qualifiers will represent South Cotabato at the RSPC on Dec. 14-17 in Midsayap.
