TOGETHER with the city's social welfare and development department, the Mayor's office of Cagayan de Oro, headed by Shiela Lumbatan, has announced that the 2nd-semester social pension payout has begun, with a schedule set from September 12 to 29 this year.
"The payout is intended for 14,028 beneficiaries of the DSWD (Department of Social Welfare and Development) Social Pension in the city," said Lumbatan.
She said for the first week starting from September 12 to 15, the payout is to take place in the barangays of Carmen, Canitoan, Bulua, Bayabas, Kauswagan, Balulang, and Iponan.
"This is a part of the city's effort to ensure that the senior citizens of these areas receive their pensions in a timely and orderly fashion," Lumbatan said.
The payout is spearheaded by the Office for Senior Citizens Affairs in close coordination and support with the Department of Social Welfare and Development 10 and the City Social Welfare Development.
"This collaborative effort is designed to ensure the proper allocation and distribution of funds to the rightful beneficiaries," said Lumbatan.
