Standard System invests in modern fleet and first-ever transfer station to ensure efficient and reliable waste management services
Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines – The City Government of Cagayan de Oro has awarded Standard Systems the project entitled, “Collection, Hauling and Disposal of Municipal Solid Waste including Street Sweeping” for the remaining months of 2025 with daily target garbage collection of 315 tons/day.
“Ang maong contractor, ang Standard Systems, imbes kita nga nanginahanglan lamang og ordinaryo nga dump truck nga ilang gamiton, apan sila naghatag og mga high-end nga mga compactor nga mao'y gamiton sa paghakot sa atong mga basura," said City Local Environment and Natural Resources Office (CLENRO) Head, Engr. Armen Cuenca.
(The contractor, the Standard Systems, instead of us just providing an ordinary dump truck for them to use, has provided high-end compactors that will be used to haul our garbage.)

First-Ever Transfer Station in CDO
In a pioneering move, Standard Systems has constructed the city’s first garbage Transfer Station in Brgy. Pagatpat. All collected waste will be brought here and transferred to large-capacity dump trucks (5 units of 12-wheelers and 2 units of 10-wheelers), which will then transport and dispose of garbage at the City’s Engineered Sanitary Landfill in Brgy. Pagalungan.
The transfer station aims to reduce turnaround times, minimize congestion in collection routes, and improve the city’s overall waste disposal efficiency.
Facing the challenge head-on
Standard Systems ensures compliance with the requirements set forth by the City Local Environment and Natural Resources Office (CLENRO) and follow the lead of its Waste Collection Division (WCD):

(We started our operations with so much volume of garbage left uncollected for weeks, however we will double our efforts, dispatch all our trucks and work day and night to help clean up the city and stabilize garbage collection operations in the shortest amount of time.)
She also urged Kagay-anons to follow the garbage collection schedule in their areas to help ensure smoother waste management operations.
