By NITZ ARANCON Correspondent A “HABAL-HABAL” driver was killed in a freak accident at the junction of Julio Pacana St. and the Puntod-Kauswagan Bridge at 5 am yesterday. His head was crushed by a 10-wheel truck bound to Bulua. Traffic investigator Gilbert Amba identified the victim as Ronie Daling of Magsaysay-del Pilar streets, and the driver of the truck as Jomar Otingay of Sumilao, Bukidnon. Otingay was detained at the Macabalan police, and is facing charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide. PO2 Amba said Daling, who was on a motorcycle from Puntod, lost his balance and crashed. Otingay said he was driving the truck toward the Bulua market to deliver vegetables from Sumilao town, and did not see the accident. “Wala sila magbangga, apan natumba ang motor nga gisakyan sa biktima nga ma-oy pag-agi sa  truck, ug naligsan sa right rear tire sa maong truck ang iyang ulo,” Amba said. Ontingay however said he saw Daling driving a bit too fast. “Kusog man iyang  dagan pagliko niya, wala na nako siya makita nga siya ba diay ang naligsan sa atras nga ligid sa akong truck,” Otingay said.
