A HUSBAND and his wife have been shot dead while they were sleeping inside their cargo truck at 8:50 am yesterday in Maramag Bukidnon.
Police Provincial Director Reynante Reyes identified the victims as Daniel Ocot, 60, and his wife Adelaida, 66, both residents of Manalog, Hinonangan, Southern Leyte.
The couple was engaged in buying and selling vegetables and fruits.

The incident took place along the road of Purok 1, Barangay Dologon of the said town.
Police found the victims already bathed with their own blood inside a forward silver-white wing van bearing a plate number MBA-8494.
The said unit is registered and owned under the name of Jenus Ocot of Grand Terraces Subdivision, Casili, Consolacion, Cebu City.
Police investigators theorized that the victims were resting inside the said truck that was parked along the road when they were attacked.
Personnel from the Scene of the Crime Operatives (Soco) discovered two fired cartridge cases of a caliber .45 pistol near the bodies of the victims.
Responding policemen were able to identify the identities of the victims through their son Daniel Ocot, Jr.
Soco personnel also found a Samsung keypad cellphone owned by the victims which were turned over to Bukidnon Cyber Crime Unit for forensics examination.
Reyes said Maramag police are still exerting efforts to identify the culprits and the possible motive of the crime.
Investigators will also review the existing closed-circuit television cameras installed near the place where the incident happened.
As this developed, Reyes ordered Maramag operatives to conduct a thorough investigation of the incident and the identification of the suspect for an immediate resolution.
