MORE than a million pesos worth of marijuana were uprooted by the Bukidnon police raiding team in one of the far-flung barangays of Valencia city, last Thursday at 4 am.
Together with Bukidnon 2nd Police Mobile Force Company and the Special Operations Unit 10, the Provincial Drug Enforcement Group, led by Police Lt. Col. Bryan Reponte, swooped down Sitio Bagalbal of the said barangay.

A total of 7,500 fully grown marijuana plants with an estimated standard value of P1,500,000 were uprooted by the group.
The marijuana was planted in an estimated land area of 1/4 hectare.
The operating team, however, failed to arrest planters or cultivators in the area.
All uprooted marijuana was then burned and sprayed with herbicide chemicals to prevent recurrence growth.
Barangay Guinoyoran is 25 kilometers away from Valencia City.
