A street bystander was arrested by members of the Cagayan de Oro Police Office for illegal possession of drugs during a buy-bust operation.
City Police Director Aaron Mandia, identified the suspect as Joseph Quejada aka jun-jun, single, and currently residing at Zone 2, San Lazaro, Barangay Lapasan of the said city.
Seized from the suspect were a small elongated transparent plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu with an estimated value of P34,000, buy-bust money, and some personal belongings.
Mandia said Quejada was nabbed by Cocpo’s Agora police station number 3 headed by Police Captain Ernesto Sanchez last Tuesday at about 10:55 am at Sitio Mambato, Barangay Lapasan.
The suspect is currently detained at the Agora police mini-cell.
The operation was witnessed by Lapasan Barangay councilor Mark Anthony Bustamante.
