A 44-year-old farmer in Jasaan, Misamis Oriental is now languishing in jail after he was arrested for living with another woman who is not his legal wife.
Provincial Police Director Raniel Valones, identified the suspect as Danilo Morales, a resident of Zone 2, San Antonio, Jasaan of the said province.
Morales was charged with concubinage.
Concubinage is any husband who shall keep a mistress in the conjugal dwelling, or shall have sexual intercourse, under scandalous circumstances, with a woman who is not his wife, or shall cohabit with her in any other place, shall be punished by prision correccional in its minimum and medium periods.
He was arrested by a virtue of a warrant of arrest at his residence by elements of Jasaan municipal police station headed by Police Major Marstar dela Cruz at 5:30 pm.
Judge Ali Joseph Ryan Lloren, Presiding Judge of 10th Judicial Region 5th Municipal Circuit Trial Court of Jasaan-Claveria, Jasaan Misamis Oriental, recommended the suspect with a P30,000 bail bond for his temporary liberty.
