DEPARTMENT of Education considered a work-from-home arrangement following the reported increase of local transmission cases with unknown source of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) in Oroquieta City.
The department will close schools for a week after as it tightens measures to control a new wave of the coronavirus pandemic.
All personnel of the Department (DepEd) Division Oroquieta, including but not limited to the teaching, teaching related and non-teaching personnel in the school shall be on work from home scheme, January 4-17.
Majority of the employees working at the City and Provincial Division Offices of DepEd were given antigen tests and counted as level 1 contacts.
In order to avoid contact among employees and therefore mitigating the possible spread of COVID-19, the local Inter-Agency Task Force recommended DepEd Oroquieta Division to adopt a work from home arrangement to ensure the safety of all school personnel.
The distribution of learning materials and retrieval of learning outputs are also suspended on the said dates.

The school heads must ensure the continued delivery of basic services with utmost diligence while working from home.
Personnel on work from home shall inform their respective school head their time-in and time-out in the morning and afternoon through text, email, private message or other means necessary, to address concerns appropriately.
