Tajor told reporters that the incident occurred while the victim was on board his motorcycle together with his brother who was seated at the back.

Matud pa sa nakakita murag nakamatikud ang biktima nga adunay gasunod kaniya mao tong kalit niyang gipaliko-balik iyang gisakyan. Apan diri pud nga higayon gipusil siya sa sutpetsado,” Tajor said.

Witnesses told police that after Mangubat was hit by the first shot he saw the latter fall from the motorcycle.

At this juncture, the same gunman approached him and finished him off. The gunman also shot the victim’s brother but missed.

Meanwhile, in an interview with Jose, Sr., the victim’s father, he said his son had been a witness to a vehicular accident. Since then he had been receiving threats.

Tajor said investigators are now backtracking closed-circuit television installed in the area for possible identification of the suspects.
