A MISAMIS Oriental Provincial Capitol employee is now in hot water after sexually molesting a 15-year-old girl yesterday early morning.

Governor Yevgeny Vincente ‘Bambi’ Emano said he is requesting the suspect to surrender to authorities and submit to an investigation.

The suspect, who is only identified as a certain Jeremy, 28, could not be found anymore and is believed to be in hiding.

He is connected to the province’s Misamis Oriental Care System (Misor Cares) as a driver.

The victim, who is at her grade 8 level, was assisting her mother who owns a small stall at the farmers’ market located at the capitol compound. (Farmers' market is a once-a-month activity sponsored by the provincial government).

Usa pa man ka semana mi nag ila anang Jeremy. Nakagusto daw siya sa ako. Mao tong iya kong giimbitar nga mangaon daw mi og balot didto sa Capistrano (street) dapit,” the minor narrated during an interview with reporters.

She said the incident happened at already 2 am, Friday.

She said the suspect handed her P150 when they were already in the area.

A few minutes later, the suspect convinced her to accompany him to a dark portion of the said street.

She said she was very hesitant and was already scared but the suspect forced her to come with him.

She said that when they reached the place, the suspect began to kiss her and touched the different areas of her body including her private parts.

It was at this time that she was able to run away from the molester and told everything to her mother who in turn went to the police station 1 to have the incident be put on record.

Emano said he cannot tolerate such behavior under his administration. He said, for fairness also to the said employee, he must show up to give his side of what happened.
