By NITZ ARANCON Correspondent THE Cagayan de Oro City Police Office is squatting on a private property in Bulua, and the landowner now wants it out. Councilor Zaldy Ocon over the weekend said he was informed at the time when he served as acting mayor that the Iglesia Filipina Independiente (IFI) wants the Bulua police precinct out so that it could develop and use its Bulua property, including the building on it. “Nagpahibalo ang mga kadagko-an sa IFI nga ila nang gamiton ang ilang building nga maoy gigamit karon sa Bulua police station,” Ocon said. He said he has brought the matter to the attention of other councilors so that city hall could find a suitable area where a new police precinct could be build in Bulua. Councilor Teodulfo Lao Jr. said that city hall should buy strategically located property in Bulua for a new police station. “Kinahanglan gyud nga ang police station should be on a government property.”
