A 37-year-old driver mechanic was arrested by the police for illegal possession of drugs during a surprised raid at his residence yesterday.
Police Capt. Dioren Cavan, City Drug Enforcement Unit, identified the suspect as Leonilo Arlos alias ‘Toto,’ married, and resident of Western Kolambog, Barangay Lapasan, this city.
Seized from the suspect were 10 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets placed in a matchbox containing suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P13,600.
The CDEU was with Technical Support Company-Regional Mobile Force Batallion, led by Police Major Excyllo Alcantara when they served the search warrant to Arlos at about 8 pm.
The said document was issued by Judge Arthur Abundiente of the Regional Trial Court-Branch 25.
The suspect is presently detained at Maharlika detention cell in preparation for an inquest and physical presentation to the issuing court.
