IN Misamis Oriental, authorities were able to arrest a 35-year-old suspect and seized a big worth of illegal drugs in a buy-bust operation on Monday this week.
Police Maj. Michael Lacasan, Opol Municipal Police Station chief, identified the suspect Joevel Villamor, single, and residing at Zone 7, Barangay Barra of the said town.
Police said that prior to the arrest, the suspect was able to hand over P1,000 cash to a police officer posing as a buyer of illegal drugs during the operation.
He was then nabbed by Police Cpl. Renz Brylle Banuag and Police Master Sgt. Rodel Suaybaguio.
Confiscated from the suspect were four big heat-sealed plastic sachets containing a white substance believed to be shabu weighing 29.6 grams with an estimated street value of P202, 280, and P1,000-buy-bust money.
The suspect and the seized items were brought to the said municipal station for proper disposition and filing of an appropriate case.
