The Rotary Club CDO East Urban (RCEU) on December 12, Tuesday donated medical equipment to Misamis Oriental Physicians Nurses Foundation Inc. (MOPNFI) one autoclave machine (P139,500) and 61 metal speculums (P32,688) amounting to P172, 188.

The turn-over activity was held at the MONFI building in Barangay Carmen, Cagayan de Oro, and was led by RCEU President Silvia “Bing” Dacudao, RC 3870 District Governor Gilda “Gigi” Go and RCEU members. The said equipment was officially turned-over to MOPNFI President Dra. Ma. Orpha V. Alonsabe, M.D., FPOGS.

The autoclave machine, and metal speculums will be used by MOPNFI for its future outreach programs to benefit women from different parts of Cagayan de Oro as well as Misamis Oriental. The autoclave machine according to Alonsabe will be a great help in preventing the spread of germs and bacteria by disinfecting equipment such as the metal speculums that were provided.

Adding the addition of the 61 metal speculums it has greatly augmented the organization’s equipment and would benefit more women during their future activities.

The said event was attended by MOPNFI incoming President Maria Theresa C. Huizo, R.N., MN, and MOPNFI 2022 past President Maria Estela L. Villegas, R.N., MN and their staffs and members.
