A JUDGE recommended a P100k-bail for a 26-year-old farmer in Bukidnon after he was accused of violating the law protecting women and children.
Police Col. Jun Mark Lagare, Bukidnon Provincial Police Director, identified the suspect as Sinoy Guinto Jr, married, and residing at Purok 4, Barangay Kisawa, Kibawe of the said province.
Lagare said the former was arrested by Kibawe Municipal Police Station personnel and the Regional Special Operation Unit-10 at 1 pm, over the weekend.
Judge Isobel Barroso of the Regional Trial Court 10-Branch 8, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon allowed the suspect to post bail so he would be freed while his case is being heard in court.
Guinto, who was charged with VAWC otherwise known as Violence against Women and Children, is now under the custody of the Kibawe police.
