In his message, Goking stressed the need for the principals, teachers, parents, stakeholders, alumni, and students to unite towards a common goal.

“We must act together and learn from the past,” Goking said during the kick-off of the annual Brigada Eskwela.

He even said that all of them should innovate from the one year of dealing with the impact of pandemic.

As we start today, the annual Brigada Eskwela, with the theme, “Bayanihan Para Sa Paaralan,” may we be reminded of the main goal for this activity which is to ensure that our learners will have a clean, safe and comfortable learning environment, according to Goking.

“With the ongoing pandemic, the Brigada Eskwela program will not only mean maintenance and repairs but also adjusting to the new normal,” he said, adding that innovation is necessary.

He said teachers and students must be provided with the right environment, materials, and gadgets they need to adapt to the new learning methods.

He said that there is also a need for the General Parent’s Teachers Associations (GPTA), stakeholders and city government officials to work together to make the program a success.

He said as the hope of the nation, students must be given functional learning spaces and taught all aspects of life to prepare them to be successful in their future endeavors.

“As your city councilor, I will continue to support everybody the best way I can. We need to work together,” Goking said. (SP)
