Mercy and misery

THANKS to our more than just a rock superstar, Pope Francis, the year of mercy is on its way.

Enough of the mantras by the filthy rich and the trapos. And welcome to the slogan of the Year of Mercy adopted by our very own Pope Francis: “Be merciful like the father!”

The dawning of the year of mercy is now in full swing led by our Pope Francis, the head of the smallest state all over the world–the Vatican, a city state that is a walled enclave of about 44 hectares and a population of only 841. Yet our Pope is the “papa” of the largest religion on earth with 1.25 billion members worldwide.

By the simple stroke of his pen, Pope Francis wrote in clear and unmistakable language that what the world urgently needs now is mercy and not war.

God wants all of us, without exception, to love our enemies because mercy is the ultimate love while war kills and destroys before it could attain a misnomer called peace.

I dare declare that there can never be peace as a consequence of war. Only mercy, the ultimate love, can bring about lasting peace and happiness throughout the world.

Trust me, both Davao Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte as well as Congressman Rufus B. Rodriguez are action men of mercy for the poor, the deprived and the oppressed.

Of course, a few critics and human rights advocates kuno would raise their eyebrows and say that Rodriguez may be but not Duterte.

Here’s my take:

Everybody knows that when PNoy was overwhelmingly elected president, four of the major security measures of the PCOS (“President Cory’s Only Son,” former Senate President Nene Pimentel used to say), the machine that is suspected by a good many well-meaning IT experts as the present day digital dagdag-bawas, was intentionally removed by the Comelec and Smartmatic without any legal explanation and justification until now.

While PNoy flaunted all over the world of his mantra, “Daang Matuwid,” it cannot be denied that most of the Pinoys today can no longer stomach President Benigno Simeon Aquino’s nauseating “Natuwad nga dalan” or the selective justice. It is precisely because of this compelling reality that the Filipino people led by the poor Mindanaoans and all the deprived and the oppressed all over the archipelago want Duterte to take charge of our government. The Pinoys want Duterte President because he is the only one who is not afraid to kill in self defense and defense of strangers.

The fact is, until now, not a single upright individual has accused Duterte of murder or homicide because his extrajudicial confessions were against hardened criminals, drug lords and queens and smugglers.

Mayor Duterte is the country’s “super hero” even as Mar Roxas is the “super villain.” Worst, Mr. Roxas kept his mouth shut when the conjoined MILF-BIFF armed rebels, who have no respect for our laws and our people, heinously assassinated the brave 44 SAF commandos.

The talk on the street is that the Liberal Party is giving the marching orders to the Comelec as in the last elections. However, lest I be misunderstood, I dare say that the Comelec has more than enough righteous personnel. Unfortunately, they have been silenced by the filthy rich and the trapos in the past. But now that the whole country is enamored and fascinated by the tough-talking action man “Super Digong” Duterte who has shown uncommon mercy to the poor, the deprived and the oppressed, the people are assured by the good men, women and the LGBTs at the Comelec that the OMR (Operation Mar Roxas) would only be allowed to read valid votes and not those of magic.

Because both dismissed and transition Mayor Oscar Moreno and the clown-cilors of the Padayon Pilipino have shown no mercy to the thousands of the victims of Sendong who have lost not only their loved ones but their belongings and homes as well, the Kagay-anons would sweep them out of City Hall on May 9, 2016.

As a consequence, Robust Rufus (as opposed to ailing Dongkoy) and his entire team would have a clean sweep in the coming elections because they would practically have no opponents. Kagay-anons have already proven in the last elections that we have had more than enough of Dongkoy’s mismanagement and arrogance.

But because we, Kagay-anons, are known for our fairness and understanding, we gave the clown-cilors the golden opportunity to mend their ways and prove to us that they are worthy public servant-leaders. Since they freely chose to disregard the plight of all the victims of Sendong, they, too, are all, without any exception, going to be wiped out from the city council come May 9, 2016.
