Meanwhile, the country’s outgoing president must be feeling the same way: Ilang tulog na lang! Whew.

This is the time for the outgoing prez to look forward to reading, writing, staring at the trees, watching TV, watching movies, listening to the birds chirping. Sigh. Sarap ng buhay!

The two cabinets filled with books will finally be able to breathe once those books start to be read, with you choosing on which books will be donated to a library after reading them, which will end up in a garage sale, and which to keep for future reeading.

And there will be times when you’ll stare not only at the trees, but at nothing. Sigh.

Indulging in yummy food will also be kind of a priority if only it won’t increase the body weight that much. But eating more is a recipe for weight increase so protein shakes will remain a part of that diet.

There are people who can’t bear not doing anything. They have to be busy all the time otherwise they feel useless. If the outgoing prez is that kind of person, then he may not feel comfortable with his new sked of less work.

But the outgoing prez who would rather read and write, will savor the free time. Finally, the column becomes top priority instead of wallowing at the bottom of the list.

And she could stay the whole day at Daiso as she chooses between a Mickey rice ladle and a Mickey fan.

And she should make sure she has a Japanese friend with her when she’s shopping at Daiso, to help her see the cute things that she would normally ignore on busier days, when her time is limited to looking for only the most important items like, hmmm, food.

That’s what happened last Monday, or was that Tuesday, when I went to Daiso with Kim Daguman. She was pointing out the Mickeys and the other cute stuff there, and I was like, hmmm, I didn’t notice that before.

Thus, we’re definitely going back there after June 17. Then, have lunch or dinner at Choobi Choobi! Yum!

So looking forward now to waking up on June 18, that’s Saturday morning, only to realize, No early-morning activity to go to! Yehey!

Here’s to all the outgoing presidents out there: Cheers!
