The accident happened at the C-3 road at barangay Tipanoy at about 2pm, last Thursday when the Rural Transit bus was maneuvering its way to the north-bound terminal at Tambo, this city and coming from Kapatagan.

According to Senior Insp. James Daleon of the city’s traffic division, 12 passengers were hurt in the accident and per its initial investigations, it looked like the bus was to be blamed for the accident and negotiations are already underway between the two parties, Daleon said.

On the same day, a motorcycle rammed into a delivery at Barangay Tambo, here.

The motorcycle driver, Cris Vincent Antoque Capa, 19, was declared dead upon arrival at a public hospital. (With reports from Sita Asequia and Ric Palahang)
