According to Bobby Capangpangan, Regencia’s spokesman, the mayor charged the two broadcaster for libel with three counts for each of them, quoting lawyer Voltaire Rovira, city legal officer.

Altres is a supporter of lawyer Dino Quijano and CPA-lawyer Betzy Zalsos otherwise known as the “green” team or “One Iligan Party.”

Enriquez is one of the spokespersons of the Nacionalista Party led by Rep. Frederick Siao, with candidates Marianito Alemania and Sammy Huertas, for mayor and vice mayor respectively. They are also known as the “blue” team.

If convicted, Capangpangan added, bail would cost each of them from P40,000 to P1 million.

In another development, Jose Pantoja, City Info Officer lashed at one Steve Pacot Caburatan for hiding behind the “shadows of a bogus” account.

It was learned that Caburatan, using a fake account on Facebook engaged in “black propaganda” against the mayor. He enjoined said person to come out in the open, using cuss words, so that the two of them will face each other and “settle the score.”
