THE League of Filipino Students (LFS) filed an impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte today, the second attempt to unseat her and the first led by youth representatives.

“This complaint reflects a yearning for a better future,” LFS National Chairperson Lloyd Manango said during the filing at the House of Representatives.

“We cannot entrust the youth’s future to Sara Duterte. Corruption must not be normalized in the Philippines.”

Manango was joined by 74 complainants from various progressive groups and marginalized sectors.

“This impeachment sends a message to corrupt officials still in the shadows: we are watching you,” Manango added, urging young Filipinos to demand Duterte’s removal through legal and street protests.

The Vice President has yet to comment on the latest impeachment effort. (PR)
