DAVAO Mayor Rodrigo Duterte, Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo, and former senator Juan Miguel Zubiri are emerging as the top winners in the national elections in Region 10.
Partial and unofficial results of elections in the region as of 10:50 am show Duterte’s landslide win in northern Mindanao with 1,023,527 votes.
Former Interior secretary Manuel Roxas II ranked poor second with 478,354 votes; Sen. Grace Poe, 237,529; Vice President Jejomar Binay, 102,737; Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago, 13,638; and the late ambassador Roy Señeres, 1,161.
Poe and later Roxas have conceded to Mayor Duterte.
Robredo also widened her lead with 671,131 votes. (see related story above)
In the Senate race, former senator Zubiri was also way ahead with 1,057,805 votes in Region 10 based on the 9:28 am partial and unofficial count of the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV).
Zubiri, a former Bukidnon congressman and a son of Gov. Jose Ma. Zubiri, was followed by boxing icon Manny Pacquiao, 707,543; Senate President Franklin Drilon, 638,909; Sen. Teofisto Guingona III, 651,577; former senator Francis Pangilinan, 613,684; Joel Villanueva, 599,087; former senator Panfilo Lacson, 590,321; former congresswoman Riza Hontiveros, 570,528, former senator Richard Gordon, 545,665; former Justice secretary Leila de Lima, 519,830; Sen. Sergio Osmeña III, 511,378; former MMDA chairman Francis Tolentino 509,913 votes; Win Gatchalian, 499,234; and former senator Ralph Recto, 471,293.
