GINGOOG City – Satar Salem of Tri Snd Barracuda emerged as the overall men champion in last Sunday’s Trayatlon Ta Gingoog Tres powered by Tanduay Athletics.
He was relentless and impressive in the 3 discipline of multi-sports covering from swim(1.5kms), bike(40kms),run(10kms) and nailing a time of 2:15:02 in one of the most challenging courses of a local triathlon race.
Salem’s fellow Tri Snd Barracuda’s teammate Jeeboy Lamama (2:15:21) and Zamboanga’s Pride Newre Suhot (2:20:1) round up the top 3; winning 1st and 2nd runner up respectively.
Last year’s Champion Cagayan De Oro’s Brian Borling was not around to defend the title due to injury. Meanwhile in the women’s category , Bukidnon’s Trisobuk Rupesa Llegunas won the overall champion replacing the last 2017-18 Champion Jenefer Paloma of team Run baby Run.
Paloma did not participate in this year edition due to some other commitment. Meanwhile, Gingoog United Multisports representative Hana Diwan Geslaga got the 2nd placed followed by 3rd place overall Cdoc Tribibo’s Atty Joy Marie Pamisa. 100 plus participants join in this year’s race organized by Gingoog united Multisports and supported by city govt of Gingoog.
