COUNCILOR John Michael Seno calls on the youth of Cagayan de Oro City who have not registered yet, to register at the City Commission on Elections (Comelec) office for them to exercise their right to vote in the upcoming elections.
Seno announced that the voter registration period is from August 1, 2019 to September 30, 2019.
He encourages the youth to register as early as August 1 to avoid rushing and shoving at the Comelec office.
According to Seno, registrants only need to bring their birth certificates and valid IDs, or if none, a school ID or library card will be honored as long as it is signed by the school authority such as the principal or school head.
The councilor, as the president of the SK Federation, urges SK officials and members to prompt their friends and families to register and be part of a progressive and participative community. (sp)
