The heat was on during this year’s Miss Cagayan de Oro – Swimwear competition at the Limketkai Luxe Hotel, with twelve gorgeous ladies filled with confidence and determination, walked down the catwalk showcasing their lovely physique wearing Coco Cabana swimsuits courtesy of the SM store.

For her opening remark Mylene Sison, Luxe Hotel PR and Communications Manager welcomed everyone who graced the said activity.

“It is the pleasure and pride of Limketkai Luxe Hotel, including all the Limketkai Group of Companies that we are invited, and we are part of this annual activity of the city government, and of course to the Miss CDO organizers headed by a woman who defies age – Mags Cue, and to the ladies competing this afternoon we wish them well, and ask them to enjoy and treasure every minute of this afternoon,” she said.

The judging criteria in this year’s swimwear competition are divided into three criteria’s with Physical Attribute which includes beauty of face, figure, proportion, bone structure, muscle tone, skin, teeth, and overall good health 50%; 40% for poise, grace and courage in idle or in motion; and 10% for “X-Factor”.

The said event was judged by Signhead Graphic Advertising Proprietor & General Manager Vergil Gomez. Kimberly-Clark Philippines Inc., Senior Customer Development – Northern Mindanao Area Melvin Libago.  Macky Amores an International hotelier and now the operations manager of Limketkai Luxe Hotel and Rocheflume Flores a Certified Image Consultant by the Association of image consultants International (AICI) the leading and largest professional association of personal and corporate image consultants worldwide, received her certification at the Fashion Institution of Technology – New York as well in Singapore and London.

One-by-one the twelve candidates of Miss CDO in heels walked down the runway filled with grace and confidence in every step. As each candidate stops and looks at the audience and judges with their beautiful smiles and sparkling eyes, and then turns flawlessly with ease.

Mags Cue Chairperson of the Miss Cagayan de Oro and owner of Mags Boutique shared “I have been supporting Miss CDO pageant for over a decade now, and with Miss CDO pageant we are on our 4th year together with Chairman Gigi Go. I believe and proud to say we have changed the face and direction of Miss Cagayan de Oro pageant.”

Adding that this year, it would be a world-class pageant “This year I promise to give you a word-class Miss Cagayan de Oro Pageant. In behalf of the city government of CDO, city tourism council, the Higalaay Festival, Mags, Capt. Gilda Gigi Go, and I. We would like to welcome you all to the world-class Miss Cagayan de Oro.”

Mag’s Cue also is proud to acknowledge during the said event that last year’s Miss CDO 2nd Runner-up Nina Angelli Bernedo will be competing in a national pageant – the Mutya ng Pilipinas 2019. She also expressed her deepest gratitude to the people behind Miss CDO who works tirelessly to create the best pageant every year.

“I can’t do all this alone without the help coming from all of you – my beloved sponsors. Maraming-maraming salamat po for all of your support. To the people behind all of this, hindi ko po magagawa ang lahat na ito, my Mags family & team headed by Mary Chris Suico (Reigning Miss CDO 2018) who is now the National Operations Manager of Mags, Media partners, Photographers, Pageant Coordinator April Santiago, Ken Francisco and Miss CDO Director Dense Modesto, Sherwin Estavilla, and to the JCI Bai Lawanen,” she concluded.

Miss Cagayan de Oro 2019 was graced by City Councilor Jay Roa Pascual, chairman of the committee on tourism and City Tourism Council Chair Dorothy Jean Pabayo, Miss CDO Co-chairperson Gilda “Gigi” Go of Barangay 21, and City Fiesta Executive Committee head Eileen San Juan along with City Tourism officers, and Miss CDO sponsors.

The judges definitely had a difficult time judging this year’s Miss CDO; results of this pocket event will be revealed this coming August 24, 6 PM at the Limketkai Atrium. So don’t miss out and give your all-out support for your bets in this year’s pageant.
